The Four Pillars of Therapeutic Equity™

Achieving
Achieving the inclusion of patients in clinical drug trials necessary to ensure the resulting data are applicable to the eventual drug consumers.

Engaging
Engaging physicians serving diverse communities for clinical trials training and incentivizing their first-hand experience with drug innovations through their participation in clinical trials.

Empowering
Empowering patients with the knowledge and awareness that promotes better self-care and medication adherence.

Capturing
Capturing continual patient feedback that contributes to the best use of the best medicines for the best outcomes for the diversity of American patients.
EPCARE®
knowRx developed EPCARE® as the digital platform to help achieve Therapeutic Equity℠ for better health outcomes. It uses machine learning to enable the efficient and secure exchange of relevant information between those involved in clinical trials planning, execution, participation as essential parts of developing and transitioning better data into better health care.
To address a persistent impediment to speed and efficiency in drug innovation, knowRX uses EPCARE® to accelerate recruitment and improve retention of American patients in clinical trials. Our technology helps to inform and assist physicians and better integrate them and the patients who trust them into the clinical trials process.

CLINICAL TRIALS
Nearly two-thirds of people surveyed indicated they would join a clinical trial if the trial were supported by a doctor they trust. knowRX helps to better involve patients by training and informing their trusted doctors about clinical trials and assisting them to better inform their qualified patients. EPCARE provides clinical trial sponsors a secure web portal for initiating outreach to physicians trusted by qualified patients and access to investigators operating within their communities. Sponsors can also initiate confidential patient surveys for perspective on preferences, protocol design concepts, cultural sensitivities, and patient recruitment strategies as well as confidential distribution of approved clinical trial information directly to qualified patients.
PHYSICIANS/Health Care Providers
The EPCARE platform includes a learning system for on-demand training of physician-investigators and other healthcare providers on clinical trials processes, values, and protections as well as cultural sensitivities. Since every physician may not choose to be a clinical trial investigator, we also encourage and offer training to prepare non-investigators to evaluate clinical trial opportunities, respond to patient inquiries and be compensated for their efforts.
EPCARE engages patients on behalf of their physician to share personally relevant information on health, disease, disease prevention and clinical trials without disruption of office workflow. The objective is to support and maintain the trust relationship beyond the brief office visit as well as throughout participation in clinical trials.
HEALTH Institutions
knowRX offers our community healthcare institutions the use of EPCARE for building and maintaining the trust relationship with patients and promoting health literacy and the efficient use of medical resources. Use of EPCARE to support clinical trial inclusion also serves the mission to eliminate health disparities and ensure better health outcomes in our diverse American population and also minimizes the loss of patients to clinical trials at other institutions.
We use our technology to assure healthcare institutions are recognized within and outside their communities for their contribution to advancing treatment innovations and improved guidance on their use in a diverse population that results from the participation of their physicians and patients in clinical trials. Through their participation they also gain experience and assurance of the applicability of the clinical trials data to the patients they serve. By supporting the involvement of affiliated physicians in clinical trials via EPCARE, these institutions open the pathway for the patients they serve to influence treatment innovations that may impact so much of their daily lives.
